Homemade Raspberry and Chia Jam
We love getting creative in our kitchen and when you combine that love with this time of year and the vast amount of wild blackberries and raspberries springing up all over the place this simple recipe is a great way to get the whole family involved in the kitchen. We love going out with our little one to pick berries and then bringing them home to enjoy. With this simple recipe you can find a great and tasty use for all those berries that you can enjoy on toast, pancakes or in your porridge.
1 cup of frozen raspberries (thawed)
1/2 cup of maple syrup
1 tea spoon of vanilla extract
3-4 tablespoons of mixed chia seeds
1 large bowl or mixing pot
1 large jar for a container
1 set of measuring cups
fridge and freezer
1. Measure out 1 cup of raspberries and place in your mixing bowl with the chia seeds and maple syrup
2. mash together with a a fork and stir well until the berries and seeds are mixed well
3. Stir in the tea spoon of vanilla extract
4. Place in the fridge overnight to form.
