We continue our documentary recommendations with - 'A Plastic Ocean', directed by Craig Leeson.
Leeson had not set out to make a documentary about plastic pollution, but whilst out at sea searching for the elusive blue whale, he and his crew discovered plastic waste in what should have been pristine ocean. In this adventure documentary, Craig teams up with free diver Tanya Streeter and an international team of scientists and researchers, and they travel to twenty locations around the world to explore the fragile state of our oceans, uncover alarming truths about plastic pollution, and reveal working solutions that can be put into immediate effect.
It is both a deeply moving and heavily insightful documentary, revealing not just hwat is going on in the oceans but where the problem is originating, and the role we can all ply in reversing this issue. It also touches heavily on plastics impact on our own health, discussing fumes, BPAs and much more. For those who are new to the plastic issue and those who are concerned about health and well being this is a must watch documentary.
It includes input and appearances by Sir David Attenborough, Sylvia Earle, Barrack Obama and Ben Fogle, not to mention the already stated above Tanya Streeter and Craig Leeson.
